Welcome to the If conference ... brought to you by the Australian Association for the Teaching of English, the International Federation for the Teaching of English and the English Teachers Association, New South Wales.
Like many conferences in 2020, the if... conference, sponsored by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund, has been reconfigured as an online event with registration remaining open throughout the conference and afterwards with access to recordings.
The conference will be opened by the The Hon Linda Burney, Shadow Minister for Families and Social Services, Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians, Member for Barton, MP. Later, this will be followed by the first of a series of roundtables that will be held throughout the conference. These will create a stimulating conference context offering opportunities for you to share your views on the future for English as a discipline.
This conference brings together leading English educators from around the world. For full description of conference sessions and speakers, download the program to decide the live sessions you wish to attend now and the other sessions you might like to attend later via the recorded conference.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6 pm (Sydney time), pop into the vibe room throughout the conference to share your conference experiences and chat to colleagues about what you have learned. See what will be happening here.
